Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

The short version: jp3 doesn’t collect, store or receive any personal information about you — through this website or through any app. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The only information I ever see is what the app stores (Google Play, the Apple App Store, the Microsoft Store) give every developer by default.

“jp3” (“I”, “me”) is an independent developer who makes hobby apps. This policy covers the website at jp3.dev and the apps published under the jp3 name.

What I collect

Nothing. I don’t run any servers that your apps talk to, I don’t ask you to create an account, and the apps and this site contain no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code. I don’t know who you are, what you do in the apps, or what you type into them.

What the app stores tell me

The stores that distribute the apps give developers some information by default. For me that is things like how many people installed an app, which countries and device types, star ratings and any review you choose to post, and crash or error reports if you’ve allowed your device to share diagnostics with the store. This is aggregate information. I can’t use it to identify you, and I don’t try to. The stores handle it under their own privacy policies.

This website

  • No cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds.
  • If you pick a colour theme, that choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the page looks the same next time. It never leaves your device.
  • The site is hosted by Netlify, which may process standard technical information (such as your IP address) when it delivers pages to you, under its own privacy policy.
  • If you email code@jp3.dev, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply, and I don’t share it.

JoeBot

JoeBot is a chat app for AI services. It runs entirely on your device: there is no jp3 server in between. Here is exactly what it does with your information.

  • Your API keys are typed in by you and kept in your device’s secure storage. They are only ever sent to the AI provider they belong to.
  • Your messages and attachments are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you choose for that conversation — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google (Gemini), Perplexity, OpenRouter, or Blackbird.AI Compass — using your own account and key. I never see them. What those companies do with them is governed by their terms and privacy policies, so please read them: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, OpenRouter, Blackbird.AI.
  • Saved conversations and settings are stored on your device only. You decide when to save a conversation, and you can share or export it yourself. Deleting the app deletes them.
  • Voice mode (optional) uses the microphone and your device’s built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech. The recognised text is then sent to your chosen AI provider like any other message. Depending on your phone or computer, your operating system may process the audio with Apple or Google under their policies; jp3 never receives it.
  • Device lock (optional): the app can ask for your fingerprint, face or PIN to protect saved sessions. That check is done by your operating system; the app only learns whether it passed, never your biometric data.
  • Links in an answer (for example sources) open in your web browser, and the site you reach has its own privacy practices.
  • Deleting data: uninstalling JoeBot or clearing its data removes your settings, keys and saved conversations from your device. Anything an AI provider holds is theirs to manage — use their tools to review or delete it.
  • Age: JoeBot is not directed at children. The AI services it connects to set their own minimum ages.

JoeBot adds no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash reporting of its own. The only outside services it talks to are the AI providers you choose to connect.

Third-party services

jp3 uses no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting services. The only outside services involved are the app stores that distribute the apps and Netlify, which hosts this website. If an app connects you to other services, that app’s section above says which.

Keeping and deleting data

I hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for me to delete. Data an app keeps on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Anything held by an app store or another service you use is theirs to manage — use their tools to review or delete it.

Children

My apps and this website are not directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone, children included — I don’t collect any.

Changes to this policy

If that ever changes — for example if I add an account, sync or analytics feature — I will update this page and the date above before releasing it, and the app stores’ privacy disclosures will be updated to match.
